SHVP downs Lady Jays

MAMOU – A bases loaded hit by the Lady Trojans lifted Sacred Heart of Ville Platte to a 3-2 win over St. Edmund in Acadiana Softball League play. The Lady Jays grabbed a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning when Kinsley Marcantel walked and scored on a hit by Anna Belle Fontenot.

Bobcats swat down Yellowjackets

The Eunice Bobcats took on the Kinder Yellowjackets in summer varsity vaseball action on Wednesday at Bobcat Field following a junior varsity contest between the two teams. In the varsity game, the Yellow Jackets scored two runs in the top of the first inning to claim a 2-0 lead.

Bobcats defeat Breaux Bridge, Sacred Heart

The Eunice Bobcats defeated the Breaux Bridge Tigers by an 8-3 margin in baseball action at the LSUE Baseball Tournament this past weekend. The Bobcats scored two runs in the top of the first inning to take the early lead.

5-3A All-District baseball team released

Eunice High advanced to the quarterfinals for the second year in a row and the Bobcats placed 10 players on the 5-3A All-District team. Iota claimed the district championship with Hunter Wriborg named the MVP and Bulldog head coach Leonard Cloud was named the district Coach of the Year.

Blue Jays dominate 4-1A All-District

St. Edmund dominated the All-District 4-1A baseball list as the Blue Jays repeated as district champions. Grand Lake’s Dylan David was voted the district MVP, while St. Ed’s head coach Barry Manuel was named district Coach of the Year.

Eunice runs past Mustangs

The Eunice High Bobcats concluded their football spring drills with a srimmage against the Avoyelles High Mustangs this past Wednesday. The Bobcats dominated the Mustangs, especially on the offensive side of the scrimmage.

Lady Jays dominate 4-1A All-District

Bobcats receive rings at awards ceremony

The 2018 Class 3-A state championship was still the headliner at Thursday’s Eunice High annual football award ceremony. Bobcat head football coach Paul Trosclair thanked the parents and the Eunice community for their support throughout the championship season.
