Bobcats advance to quarterfinals

ABBEVILLE – Eunice High sent several athletes to the upcoming state track championships after strong regional performances. Lady Cat Leah Walker won the 100 meters with a time of 12.71, while teammate A’Mya Johnwell finished third (13.02). Walker also won the 200 meters with a time of 26.

IOTA – The Bulldogs earned an 8-1 win over the Bobcats on Monday to force a winner-take-all game for the District 5-3A championship. On Wednesday, Iota completed the sweep as the Bulldogs battled for a 4-2 victory over the Eunice Bobcats.

It was Senior Night for the Bobcats Monday as Eunice took on the Iota High Bulldogs in a battle for the District 5-3A title. The Bulldogs had been undefeated in district play before falling to Pine Prairie last weekend.
