Ash Wednesday fish dinners

St. Mathilda’s KPC Ladies Auxiliary held an Ash Wednesday fish dinner fundraiser. The lunch dinner plate included fish courtbouillon, rice, sweet peas, fried fish and a dessert. Donations of $8 were accepted. Pick up for the dinners was at the Bishop Ceaser Center.

St. Landry Council on Aging Mardi Gras Dance

The St. Landry Council On Aging, Inc. held its annual Mardi Gras Dance from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Northwest Community Center in Eunice. A crowd of Seniors, 60 and older, enjoyed live zydeco music provided by Big J & The Dog Pound, ate gumbo, King Cake and had punch.

St. Edmund students visit McNeese State

St. Edmund High juniors and seniors paid a visit at McNeese State’s College of Engineering recently to tour the facilities and observe project demonstrations by McNeese students in the areas of civil, chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as engineering technology disciplines.

St. Ed Dual Enrollment students visit LSUE

Students enrolled in the English IV Dual Enrollment course through LSUE with David Pulling visited the LSUE library recently. Students received a bibliographic orientation in the library and will be using what they learned to write a paper for their course.
