Donation of paint given to St. Edmund Elementary

Smith’s True Value recently donated 30 gallons of paint to St. Edmund Catholic School as part of True Value Foundation’s 2019 “Painting a Brighter Future” program. The elementary courtyard was able to get a fresh coat of paint for a bright start to the 2019-2020 school year.

Highland’s ‘Little Blessings Club’ gives appreciation gift

Highland Elementary’s Little Blessings Club learned their very first lesson about the honor of giving to others. Club members blessed every faculty member with a beautiful rose arrangement, which was accompanied by messages of thanks and appreciation.

Cultural Arts students at Highland

Students that attend Cultural Arts at Highland Elementary with Amy Myers enjoy art two days a week. Students were able to “grow a rainbow” by drawing the beginnings of a rainbow on wettable material then dipping the edge of it into water.

Nagata honored with great-nephews

Jen Nagata, wife of the late Coach Joe Nagata, is with her three great-nephews and Coach Shiver on the eve of the 7th annual Joe Nagata Memorial Jamboree.

VFW Post 8971 gives tribute to Nagata

The VFW Post 8971 was honored to give a speech honoring Joe Nagata and the 442nd/100th Battalion of WW2. Joe Nagata, a Japanese-American soldier was in the 442nd. He also played football for LSU and was the head football coach for both Eunice High School and St Ed High School after the war.

Understanding and living with sciatica
