AR Student of the Week

DeZira Thomas was named Highland Elementary’s AR Student of the Week. She is a student in Tonya Guillory’s second grade class. She earned this award for meeting her goal during the nine week’s period and maintained a 97 percent average.

First graders plant garden seeds inside gloves

Glendale Elementary first graders planted cucumber, radish, onion tops and cantaloupe seeds inside gloves. Students participated in this project in order to monitor and chart results growth of the seeds.

Business Garden of the Month chosen

The Eunice Bulb and Blossom Garden Club selected a Business Garden of the Month. The marker was presented to Sirius Technologies located at 101 N. 5th St. The neatly groomed front yard of the business features a rock garden, and boxwood.

Top reader at Highland
