Haisley Hawkins Ashley Dietz and Joshua Hawkins of Mamou announce the birth of their daughter, Haisley Lynn Hawkins, born at Acadian Medical Center on April 17 weighing 5 pounds and 13 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Crystal Dietz of Eunice and Eugene Manuel of Mamou.

LeJeune at Liberty

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will have a performance by Greg LeJeune & Cajun Heat. Admission is $5. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Starting at 10 a.m.

Family cycling can be enjoyable

Cycling as a family can be an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon and get some exercise. I love bike riding. I find it to be relaxing and you get to enjoy nature all around you. I plan to soon purchase a bicycle and, as I like to say, “take to the road.

Tractor Supply donates to Eunice High FFA

Eunice High FFA Chapter recently received various items from Tractor Supply. These donated items will be used for the members Supervised Agriculture Experiences and shop projects.

St. Edmund held for, first time ever, a “Bring a Friend to School” Day on April 17. This day gave an opportunity for current St. Edmund students in grades Pre-k through fifth-grade to invite friends outside of St.

Farm lessons presented by Ag Day in St. James Parish
