On Oct. 18, 2018, Troop 425 honored Scout Bricen Leger for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, the pinnacle rank in the Boy Scouts of America. Leger achieved the coveted rank after joining Troop 425 in 2011 and worked his way through the ranks in Scouting.

Central Middle School received the 2018 Eductional Alliance grant of $500 from the Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance Program, Store Tobacco Plus 4 in Eunice. The grant is awarded each year to recognize achievement in educational field.
