VFW Post 8971 and city officials were at the Eunice Community Nature Trail on Maple Avenue Thursday morning raising a new flag, along with performing a flag-raising ceremony.

Brennon Thompson of Troop 430 in Eunice completed his Eagle Scout project in June. His project was to design and paint checker/chess boards at St. Edmund School which is the charter organization for Troop 430.
