Marianne Addy, an energy efficiency marketing analyst with Cleco, gave informative presentation and talked about how to make your home and business more energy efficient at the Eunice Rotary Club meeting on Wednesday.

National Day of Prayer in Eunice

The 70th annual observance of the National Day of Prayer was held at 10 a.m. Thursday on the City Hall’s parking lot near the pavilion. The 2022 theme of the National Day of Prayer was, “Exalt the Lord Who has Established Us” Colossians 2:6-7.

Parish sales tax collections grow 7%

St. Landry Parish sales tax collections totaled $30,105,756 through April, which was up 7% over the same period in 2021, according to St. Landry Parish School Board tax division.

School closings are among issues facing School Board

One St. Landry Parish School Board member referred to this as “time to rip the Band-Aid off.”
That’s about closing some schools in the parish — Washington, Palmetto and Grand Prairie.
