Sheriff announces camp for boys

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz stated, the next boys only Kops & Kids hunting/fishing and camping adventure is scheduled for June 10. The camp is located in St. Landry Parish with sleeping accommodations and are chaperoned by full time law enforcement officers.

Project removes debris from MLK Jr. property

The first “Neighbor Helping Neighbor” cleanup sponsored by Keep Eunice Beautiful in conjunction with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Citywide Community Committee and many community supporters, volunteers, churches, businesses, the City of Eunice and the Eunice Police Department took place on May 20.

Smoked Meat Festival scheduled June 2-3

Bob Manuel presented Renee Brown and Samantha Guillory from Viande Boucanee, Inc., to the Ville Platte Rotary Club who discussed the 25th annual Louisiana Smoked Meat Festival scheduled June 2-3. “We moved our festival up an entire month,” Brown said.
