Church Point man charged with armed robbery

A 20-year-old Church Point man has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of farm workers Thursday on Maggie Lane near Church Point. Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson identified the man as Zachary Daigle, 20, of Church Point.

Police: Washington man charged with rape after being shot

A 23-year-old man who was shot in the right leg, was later charged with first-degree rape, Eunice Police Deputy Chief Richard Daigle said. Darraine Robinson, 23, 4300 block of Hwy. 10, Washington, was arrested Tuesday on the rape charge.
