Melee at Kim’s Market ends with shooting, one wounded

A melee at Kim’s Market at about 6 p.m. Thursday ended with a gunfight, which apparently wounded one male. Eunice Police Chief Kyle LeBouef stated Friday morning in an email that the investigation was continuing into the incident that happened at the 611 E. Laurel Ave. business.

St. Landry Parish sales tax collections through November totaled $88,374,662 for a 6% increase over the same 11-month period in 2022. Collections rose $5,020,055 through November compared to collections through November 2022, according statistics released by the St.
