Central Middle principal arrested

The principal of Central Middle School in Eunice is accused of encouraging two juvenile students to fight in his presence. Eunice Police Chief Kyle LeBouef reported Brett Simien, 48, of Church Point, was arrested on Thursday on misdemeanor warrant for contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

A St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Street Team traffic enforcement effort on La. 13 in the Eunice area yielded a drug bust on Aug. 22, according to Sheriff Bobby Guidroz. Deputies stopped a black Chevrolet Impala headed south on La. 13.
