Bomb threat at Eunice High School

Eunice Police along with the Eunice Fire Department, the St Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Eunice City Marshal’s Office responded to a possible bomb threat at Eunice High School on Wednesday, according to Chief Kyle LeBouef.

Eunice Police to get body cameras

Within two to three weeks Eunice Police will have access to body cameras, Police Chief Kyle LeBouef said at Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen meeting. Twenty cameras will be ordered and police will be required to use them, he said. A few officers use their own cameras now, he said.

Tri-Parish workforce drops slightly

The Tri-Parish workforce totaled 67,083 in January, down 386 or 0.6% from January 2022, according to statistics released Monday by Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The workforce includes those working and looking for a job. The statistics are not seasonally adjusted.
