Alma Deshotel Tate, age 81, of Eunice, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on September 8,1944, Alma was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Saturday, Sept. 27-Monday, Sept. 29 Jeffery Chad Fuselier, 54, 900 block of Hirsh Alley, Opelousas. Theft, simple burglary.

Jo Ann Frey Fontenot passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the age of 91. No Services have been planned at this time.
