Church Point man loses murder case appeal

A Church Point man lost his appeal of two convictions of first-degree murder of his grandfather John Guillory and godmother, Lois Guillory, on May 18, 2020. Judges of the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal affirmed Detrick Nathaniel Guillory’s conviction.

LSUE sets enrollment records during Fall semester

LSU Eunice continues its impressive trend with a third straight fall semester of breaking enrollment records on campus. LSUE’s Fall 2025 semester features the largest amount of enrolled students as well as credit hours taken in school history.

Eunice bicyclist killed in crash

A two-vehicle fatality crash involving a bicyclist on U.S. 190 near Eastpark Drive claimed the life of 54-year-old Michael Fontenot of Eunice. Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop I began investigating the incident just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.

LSUE launches ‘Let’s Talk’ with DeVillier, Miller

LSU Eunice officially launched its new conversation series, “Let’s Talk,” on Thursday with a program designed to foster dialogue and reflection on timely issues. The inaugural event, held in the South Commons Area of the Dr.
