Mother charged with falsely reporting her child’s kidnapping

A 24-year-old Eunice mother is charged after falsely reporting her 5-year-old son had been kidnapped, according to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Thursday, Nov. 7 Damion Sonnier, 41, 700 block of Harold, Eunice. Contempt of court. Friday, Nov. 8 Dwight Damond, 48, 200 block of East Dean, Eunice. Bench warrant, 3 counts.

Arizona jockey arrested for falsifying racing documents and possession of shocking devices

Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement Division troopers conducted an investigation on Nov. 7 following reports of misconduct involving race jockey Martin Osuna. The incident occurred at the Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino (EVDRC) in Opelousas.

Acadia Parish man arrested for indecent behavior with a juvenile

The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested an Acadia Parish man on 15 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile. Detectives were notified by the Department of Child Protection Services in reference to a minor child being touched by a family member inappropriately.
