Sunset man charged with shooting brother

According to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz, “On Jan. 11, 2024, just before 6 p.m, St. Landy Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call from a victim advising that his brother Christopher Vidrine had shot him in his hand on Muscadine Road in the Sunset area.

Eunice and Fire District 6 firefighters responded to a house fire at the 431 Acadia at 7:56 p.m. Monday. Eunice Fire Chief Chaise Brown said the house was abandoned and upon arrival it was totally engulfed by fire. The cause of the fire is undetermined and the house is a complete loss, he said. St. Landry grand jury indicts man accused of shooting half-brother

The St. Landry Parish Grand Jury convened and returned a true bill indictment on Jan. 11 of second-degree murder stemming from the shooting death of Tyler Dale Foreman which happened on Thibodeau Lane in Cankton.
