Pedestrian killed on La 95 south of Church Point on Sunday

A crash involving a pedestrian on La. 95 near La. 754, south of Church Point in Acadia Parish claimed the life of 38-year-old Tyler O. Roberts of Rayne. A Louisiana State Police Troop I news release stated it was notified of he wreck at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 8.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Wednesday, Oct. 11 Danielle Canty, 18, 900 block of Saizan Avenue, Port Barre. Domestic abuse battery. Arrested by Port Barre Police. Devidre Doyle, 23, 500 block of Fred Street, Eunice.

Concealed carry

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office is holding a one-day concealed carry permit training class starting at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 21 at 211 W. Park Ave., Eunice. The course is $100 and $80 for a spouse or renewal.
