Ville Platte man dies in Evangeline Parish wreck

Jarred S. Matte, 38, of Ville Platte, died in a wreck on Wednesday, according to a news release from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office. A call of a wreck on Tiger Lane was received at 5:27 p.m. Aug. 16.
