The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. August 25-August 27 Leon Jamal Mason Jr, 26, 100 block of Martin Luther King Jr Street, Melville. Resisting an officer by fighting, intimidation of an officer, battery of a dating partner, prohibited acts.

The following are arrests by Eunice Police. August 23 Corey Neville, 34, 100 block of Mathilda, Eunice. Speeding, resisting an officer, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of firearm by a convicted felon. August 25 Keith Vincent, 44, 400 block of Cotton, Eunice. Probation warrant.

Jury finds man guilty of sex crimes

A St. Landry Parish Jury found Michael Comeaux guilty of sexual battery (victim under 13 years of age) and pornography involving juveniles on Wednesday after a two-day trial, according to St. Landry Parish District Attorney Chad Pitre.
