The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Friday, Sept. 8 Kelonda Shernette Pitre Thibodeaux, 39, 2700 block of Highway 752, Opelousas. Criminal trespass, simple assault (2 counts). Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

State Police investigating officer-involved shooting in Rayne

Rayne Police requested Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations to investigate an officer-involved shooting in the 1000 block of East Jefferson Davis Avenue in the city limits of Rayne at about 11:45 p.m. Thursday.

Trio sentenced to federal prison for trafficking narcotics

Three defendants from Lafayette, who were involved in an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation have been sentenced, announced United States Attorney Brandon B. Brown. United States District Judge James D. Cain, Jr.

Woman arrested in fatal wreck

Eunice Police are charging a woman with negligent homicide and obstruction of justice in a fatal wreck that occurred at East Maple Avenue and Lewis Street on Aug. 13. Arrested was Auriel Michel Le Olivier, 32, of the 7100 block of Ozenne Road, Jeanerette.
