LSUE rallies for 16-5 run-rule win

LSU Eunice baseball's offense exploded late to cruise to a 16-5 run-rule win in seven innings on Monday at Bengal Stadium. LSUE (37-4) outscored the Ponies 15-1 over the final 3.5 innings after trailing 4-1.

Bobcats celebrate Senior Night

The Eunice High baseball team honored eight seniors Monday prior to the Bobcats’ game against Beau Chene. Dylan Guillory, Zach Suire, Gage Miller, Jahiem Mitchell, Braden Rider, Trey Soileau, Jullian Hudson and Tyler Arnaud were recognized along with senior statistican Isabella Brown. The Bobcats.

Lady Bengals advance to Region 23 semifinals

LSU Eunice used a three-point barrage and standout night inside from Chelsey White en route to a 74-64 win over East Central CC in the Region 23 Women's Basketball Tournament Quarterfinals on Monday inside the HPRE Center.

Bengals’ season ends in quarterfinals

LSU Eunice saw its season come to an end on Tuesday as Holmes CC took down the Bengals 79- 64 in the Region 23 Quarterfinals at the HPRE Center. The Bengals finish the season 12-1 after a second consecutive LCCAC championship.

Lady Jays fall to Lady Pios

CROWLEY – Notre Dame handed St. Edmund all they wanted as the Lady Pioneers rolled to a 11-0 win over the Lady Jays. St. Ed’s threatened in the first inning as Mary Beth Lafleur singled and Jenna Smith doubled but neither could score.

St. Ed’s downs WCA

OPELOUSAS – St. Edmund earned a 5-2 tennis win over Westminster Christian Academy. In boys singles, St. Ed’s Pierson Brown grabbed a 8-4 win over WCA’s Grayson Bourgeois. In boys doubles, WCA’s Cooper Manuel and Daniel Chautin earned a 8-5 victory over St.Ed’s Ross Fontenot and Blake Summerlin.

LSUE downs MGCCC

The No. 5 Lady Bengals opened the NJCAA Region 23 tournament with a 58-46 victory over No. 12 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. No. 5 LSUE will host No. 13 East Central at 6 p.m. Monday as the Lady Warriors upset No. 4 Meridan, 54-43.

Margaret leads ELTL

Team Margaret grabbed a 14-8 win over Team Phyllis to keep control of Eunice Ladies Tennis League spring action. After eight weeks, Team Margaret increased its lead to 102-86 over Team Phyllis.
