IOTA – The Bulldogs earned an 8-1 win over the Bobcats on Monday to force a winner-take-all game for the District 5-3A championship. On Wednesday, Iota completed the sweep as the Bulldogs battled for a 4-2 victory over the Eunice Bobcats.

It was Senior Night for the Bobcats Monday as Eunice took on the Iota High Bulldogs in a battle for the District 5-3A title. The Bulldogs had been undefeated in district play before falling to Pine Prairie last weekend.

IOTA – The Eunice Bobcats edged rival Northwest for the 2019 District 5-3A track championship. The Bobcats scored 164 points to win its first district title since 2016, followed by Northwest (158), Crowley (108), Iota (56), Port Barre (35), Church Point (32), Mamou (31) and Pine Prairie (1).

IOTA – The Lumberjills jumped out to 4-0 lead and No. 24 Patterson held on for a 4-2 vicrory over the No. 9 Iota Lady Bulldogs in the opening round of the Class 3-A softball playoffs. Patterson (9-16-1) will now face the winner between No. 8 South Beauregard ad No. 25 Baker in the regional round.
