Blue Jays soar past WCA

BELLEVUE – St. Edmund kept its grip on second place in District 5-1A as the Blue Jays rolled to a 9-3 win over Westminster Christian Academy Wednesday at the Crusader Field. The Jays (11-12, 6-2) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning as St. Edmund took advantage of six walks.

Lady Bobcats hold Senior Day

The Eunice High Lady Bobcats dropped a 15-3 decision to the Mamou Lady Green Demons in non-district softball action Monday. The Lady Cats fell behind in the second inning when Mamou scored a run in the top of the first inning and two more in the second to take a 3-0 lead.

Eunice cruises past Bears, 14-4

The Eunice High Bobcats scored eight runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to defeat the Church Point High Bears by a 14-4 mercy-rule victory in District 5-3A baseball action Tuesday night at Bobcat Field. Eunice travels to Port Barre for a 4 p.m. district clash today.
