LEROY - The North Vermilion Patriots gave their homecoming crowd a thrilling game to watch. The Class 3A Patriots scored 14 points in the fourth quarter to beat the Class 1A Varnado Wildcats 35-18. While the score looked like a blowout, it was not.

The Vermilion Catholic Eagles took care of business on Friday by whipping the Hanson Tigers, 17-0. The victory puts VC at 1-0 in district and now 3-1 overall. After a scoreless first quarter, the Eagles scored a touchdown to lead 7-0 at half.

Abbeville High has more bad luck than good luck against Breaux Bridge

There is no doubt the Abbeville Wildcats have luck. But on Friday, it was not good luck. When the Wildcats (1-3) would do something positive in the game against the Breaux Bridge Tigers, bad luck would strike on the very next play.
