Healthy cooking techniques

A new year is here, and why not start healthier cooking? I have not cooked by deep frying foods in a long time, nor, do I care to start now. I normally try my best to use olive oil versus vegetable oil with cooking different foods, and I do bake a great deal of my foods.

Third annual Junior Auxiliary Jingle Bell Rock'N-Run 5K

The Junior Auxiliary of Eunice held its third Annual Jingle Bell Rock and Run 5K on Dec. 1 with a route following Park Avenue. There were 121 participants. The fundraiser’s proceeds will benefit the children of the community through upcoming events and activities.

St. Edmund students collect for Belly Buddies

St. Ed exchange student speaks to second graders

St. Edmund ninth-grade exchange student Andre LaPorte from Guatemala spoke to Ali Cormier and Mary Joubert’s second-graders. He talked to the students about schools in Guatemala compared to American schools. This culminated the second-grade reading lesson “Schools Around the World”.

Class Act Student of the Week

This week’s Student of the Week is Bailey Michelle LeDoux, a sixth-grader at Central Middle School. Her parents are John and Tonya LeDoux. If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in Canada because I like the cold weather.
