Rains slow rice harvest; yields look fair-to-good

Unrestrained driver killed in single vehicle crash

In Lafayette Parish on Sunday shortly after 1:30 a.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop I responded to a single vehicle fatality crash on LA 339 at Chemin Agreable Road in Lafayette Parish. The crash claimed the life of 22 year old Cody Morgan of Baldwin.

House fire on West Magnolia

Hit-and-run, high speed chase

Staff Report A hit and run and high speed chase from Eunice to Basile, then back to Eunice, got Demondre D. Terry, 20, of Eunice, arrested. Eunice police responded at 10:48 p.m. Thursday to a hit and run call. An officer spotted a suspicious vehicle at Williams Avenue in Eunice.
