OPELOUSAS – Early voting for the October 14 election will be held from Saturday, Sept. 30 through Saturday, Oct. 7, excluding Sunday, Oct. 1. The hours will be from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.

Kayla Heinen is the newly appointed Executive Director of the Eunice Chamber of Commerce.
Heinen has lived in Eunice for the past five years. She is a graduate of Basile High School.

Community Day at Opelousas Animal Control set Oct. 7

A 30-unit renovation for flood-damaged apartments is nearing completion about two months ahead of schedule, according to Angelia Guillory, Eunice Housing Authority director.

LSU Eunice announces a record enrollment for the Fall 2023 semester, as LSUE holds a headcount of 3,623 for its official census. It is just the second time in the school’s history that enrollment has gone over 3,600 students.
