RAYNE - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 5, , at 2 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Xander Cruz Benoit, 5, who passed away on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at 8:42 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge.

Multiple shootings in Church Point

The Church Point Police Dept. has confirmed two shootings in Church Point Friday. The shootings were separate events. The shootings were not at the schools, but the middle school and Head Start are on lockdown. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
