Arrest made in fatal hit-and-run wreck

A 34-year-old Washington man has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash on Jan. 26, a Louisiana State Police Troop I news release reports. Ryan Scott Soileau was charged with negligent homicide and hit and run. He booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail. Shortly after 8:30 p.

Driver, 23, dies in single-vehicle wreck on I-10 in Acadia Parish

Shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Louisiana State Police Troop I was notified of a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 near mile marker 78. The crash took the life of 23-year-old Adrian Rubio Pascual of Iowa, Louisiana.

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the burglary of an ATM machine at The Bank located in the 400 block of St. Joseph Avenue in Iota at about 3:30 a.m. Feb. 22. Two unknown male subjects stole a Ford F250 work truck and used the stolen vehicle to commit this crime.
