The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Thursday, Feb. 22 Krystle Renee Wilson, 37, 600 block of E. Wilson Street, Ville Platte. Monetary instrument abuse (2 counts). Arrested by St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.
The Eunice Fire Department has received smoke detectors from the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal. Their program, Operation Save A Life, aims at reducing the number of fatalities from home fires by giving out smoke detectors to the community at no cost. Mamou Police are looking for a Kelsey Rochelle Mallet who has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after an altercation on Tuesday, during the Madi Gras festivities, just before 5 p.m.

4-wheeler believed stolen from Eunice area recovered

A 4-wheeler stolen from the Eunice area was recovered from a location in the 1000 block of St. Julien Road in Evangeline Parish on Feb. 12, according to a news release from the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office. Two people, Tim Stelly, 41, and Lacey Miller were arrested.
