Woman wounded in drive-by shooting outside Eunice

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz is confirming that at about 6 a.m. Jan. 30 at a 911 call in reference to a female subject who had been shot in the face during an apparent drive -by shooting.  The location of the shooting was the 100 block of La. 29 just outside the city of Eunice.

Tips sought in theft, burning of vehicle

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating the theft of a vehicle on Jan. 18 in the 400 block of Maggie Lane near Church Point. A 2022 Toyota Tundra, gray in color, was discovered missing from the residence during the early morning hours.

3rd suspect to fatal Corn St. shooting arrested

A third suspect in a fatal shooting on Corn Street on Dec. 15 was arrested in Lafayette, according to Eunice Police Chief Kyle LeBouef. The suspect, Trevon Lee Jones, 20, of Eunice, is the son of suspect Aaron Jones, who was found dead of an apparent suicide on Dec. 20.
