DA announces 3 homicide indictments by grand jurors

St. Landry Parish District Attorney Chad Pitre announced on Friday that three defendants may face life imprisonment after the St. Landry Parish Grand Jury convened today and returned three homicide indictments stemming from three unrelated incidents.

License plate readers are on the job

License plate-reading cameras are in operation in Eunice, announced Eunice Police Chief Kyle LeBouef. The police chief didn’t want to disclose where the cameras are located, but they are working 24-7, 365 days now.

Domestic disturbance leads to 7 dope-related charges

A call about a domestic disturbance ended with a 35-year-old woman facing seven drug-releated charges. According to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz, on Sunday deputies responded to a call about a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Pine Loop, Opelousas.
