Suspect in black wounds man on Acadia Street

Eunice Police are searching for a suspect who was dressed in black when he wounded a man on Acadia Street. According to Police Chief Kyle LeBouef, police were notified at 6:07 a.m. Sunday that a gunshot victim was at Acadian Medical Center.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff arrests

The following are arrests reported by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office. Friday, Feb. 9 Larry Bernagh Jr, 28, 200 blck of Dear Street, Lafayette. Windshield/Obscuring view, tail lamps, possession with intent to distribute Schedule I CDS, transactions involving proceeds from drugs.

DA announces 3 homicide indictments by grand jurors

St. Landry Parish District Attorney Chad Pitre announced on Friday that three defendants may face life imprisonment after the St. Landry Parish Grand Jury convened today and returned three homicide indictments stemming from three unrelated incidents.
