Lady Jays hit rough spot

The St. Edmund Lady Jays softball team got off to a strong start but ran into some issues playing against large schools. The Lady Jays have dropped three games in the past week, losing 12-2 to Cecilia, 9-0 to Iota and 20-10 to Iowa. St.

Bobcats, Blue Jays earn district honors

After making the Division II non-select basketball playoffs for the first time in three seasons, the Eunice High School boys basketball team was rewarded with an impressive showing in District 3-4A’s All-District selections.

Team Pitre wins by 4 points in Week 5

The fifth week of Eunice Ladies Tennis League (ELTL) ended the evening with Team Pitre having a score of 18 and Team Renee having 14 points. On Court 1, Team Pitre members Emily Francois and Tracey Brown won in split sets, 5-7, 6-2, 6-0 against Team Renee’s Sylvia Fontenot and Robin Savoy.

Lady Cats keep their bats hot

The Eunice High Lady Cats softball team might live and die behind their bats, but that’s a pretty good place to hang your hat if it’s your best card.

Rally helps LSUE against Tyler JC

LSU Eunice had a flair for the dramatic on Wednesday, using late offense against Tyler JC in a doubleheader at Lady Bengal Field. The Bengals (26-6) split the day of games, coming close to taking both in improbable fashion.

Now back at full strength, the St. Edmund Lady Jay softball team appears to be primed for another solid season. St.

4-game streak for Lady Cats

The Eunice High Lady Cats softball team appears to be finding its stride. After losing a pair of games two weekends before, the Lady Cats are now on a four-game winning streak to improve their overall record to 6-3.

EHS baseball looks to regain stride

After a strong start to their season, the Eunice High baseball team is struggling to rediscover its stride. After a 7-1 start, the Bobcats currently sit at 8-6 overall and struggled through a 1-2 week last week.
