ELTL Pitre ahead in week 9 of play

The ninth week of Eunice Ladies Tennis League (ELTL) ended the evening with Team Pitre having 18 points and Team Renee with 16 points. On Court 1, Team Pitre’s Sydney Augustine and Emily Francois won 6-0, 6-3 against Julia Zaunbrecher and Robin Savoy of Team Renee.

Bobcat baseball honors Coach Phillips

Many dream of it. But, very few manage to make it to the top of the mountain like Scott Phillips has. Phillips, in his 31st and final season as head coach of Eunice High’s baseball program, is retiring at the end of this season. It’s not a decision taken lightly.

Blue Jays hit their stride as regular season ended

The St. Edmund Blue Jay baseball team has hit its stride as the regular season closes. After a pair of big wins against Catholic-Pointe Coupee and Opelousas Catholic, the Jays headed into the District 5-1A tournament playing its best baseball of the seasons with sights on a district championship.
Millie Miller is returning serves. With her partner Laura Kate Miller, they won both their matches. One was against Hathaway, 6-0 and one against Lacassine, 6-1.

Lady Jays defeat Westminster 13-2

The St. Edmund Lady Jays softball team got a big District 5-1A win in taking down Westminster 13-2 last Tuesday. It was the highlight of a week that saw the Lady Jays drop a pair of games, a competitive 8-4 loss to Church Point and an 18-8 decision to Catholic-Pointe Coupee in district play.
