Lady Jays down Basile in District 4-1A opener

In a game highlighted by streaks, St. Edmund earned a 58-36 win over Basile in the District 4-1A opener. The Lady Jays (4-9, 1-0) jumped out to a 6-2 lead, sparked by buckets from Maggie Larriviere, Savannah DeVillier and Gabby Fontenot.

VC earns sweep over St. Edmund

In the final non-district clash of the year, St. Edmund was swept by Vermilion Catholic. The Lady Eagles exploded for an 11-2 first quarter run as VC cruised to a 56-29 win over the Lady Jays. Anne Katherine Gallet led the Lady Eagles with eight points, while Kelli Frith added three free throws.
