VILLE PLATTE – In a hard-hitting battle, Sacred Heart of Ville Platte pulled out a 10-3 win over rival St. Edmund.
JENNINGS – The Jennings High Bulldogs dominated the action in the early going as they drove from their 35-yard line to deep within the Eunice Bobcat territory.
JENNINGS – Eunice High rolled to a 53-24 win over Opelousas High, while Jennings suffered a stunning 30-21 loss to Church Point.
VILLE PLATTE – Its easy to understand what makes the St. Edmund – Sacred Heart of Ville Platte clash a rivalry game.
The two towns are around 20 miles apart and many of the players know each other.
OPELOUSAS – The Eunice High Bobcats took an early lead against the Opelousas High Tigers and continued to put pressure on the Tiger defense and offense to claim a 53-24 victory.
The Blue Jays grabbed control of the game early as St. Edmund jumped out to a 38-0 halftime advantage and finished with a 45-12 win over Hanson Memorial.

The Blue Jays rolled to a 35-6 win over the Tigers in last year’s season opener en route to a 10-2 overall finish.
The Eunice Bobcats look to start the 2018 season with a road win over the Opelousas High Tigers.
“Every body wants to start their season on a high note,” EHS head coach Paul Trosclair said. “Hopefully we will play well.”
VILLE PLATTE – They say that one man does not make a team.
Although that sentiment may be true, losing a key piece to a puzzle that has been in the making for the last four years can truly put a kink in completing the job at hand.
