This week’s Student of the Week is Macy Pousson a senior at Eunice High School Her mother is Brooke Lomas. If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in California because there are more opportunities there and it is beautiful.

Edward Robertson Jr. Amber K. Fontenot and Edward D. Robertson Sr. of Ville Platte announce the birth of their son, Edward Darnell Robertson, Jr., born at Acadian Medical Center on April 4 weighing 5 pounds and 10 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Wonda and Michael Fontenot of Ville Platte.

The “Rendez-vous des Cajuns” Cajun Music Radio & TV show Saturday at the Liberty Center at 6 p.m. will have a performance by Jay Cormier & Cajun Born. Show starts at 6 p.m. The Liberty opens at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, and children ages 7 to 12 are $3.
