Caroline Vienne named St. Landry Parish Student of the Year

Caroline Louise Vienne has been selected as St. Landry Parish Schools’ Eighth-Grade Student of the Year. To be considered for such an honor, Caroline was selected as Eunice Junior High School’s Eighth Grade Student of the Year.

Oberste named Teacher of the Year at Eunice Jr. High

Jackie Oberste has been selected as Eunice Junior High School’s Teacher of the Year. Obserste has been married for the past 10 years to Andrew, who also works for St. Landry Parish as a computer technician. Together they have four children.

It's all about the Weather at East Elementary

KATC TV 3’s weatherman Dave Baker visited East Elementary and was a guest speaker for kindergarten classes. Baker discussed general weather information, in which students had been learning in science. He also discussed weather related safety procedures with them.

This week’s Student of the Week is Victoria Ardoin, senior at Eunice High School Her parents are Kim and Stacy Ardoin. If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in New Orleans because it’s vibing with culture and heritage.

Three easy ways to create more time

For some people managing time during the day can become tricky and stressful. Myself, I’m the old-school kind of girl, I write myself “sticky” notes at work and at home to stay on track on what I have to accomplish during the day. This seems to work for me.
