The 46th leg of Old Glory Relay runners stopped in Eunice Wednesday afternoon on the way to their final destination of Tampa, Florida, for a Veterans Day, Nov. 11, ceremony.
The run is a fundraiser for Team Red White Blue, a veteran’s outreach.

September unemployment rates in the Tri-Parish area fell from August and from a year ago, according to not-seasonally adjusted data from the Bureau of Labor & Statistics (BLS).
The St. Landry Parish jobless rate in September was 6.8 percent, down from 7.3 percent in August and 8.

The luckiest place in Louisiana, maybe the nation and perhaps in the world on Wednesday was Brownie’s convenience store at 150 W. Maple Ave. in Eunice.
Sometime Wednesday someone bought the winning ticket in the Powerball drawing that was worth $191.1 million.
