Bastrop ends Bobcats’ season

It could be the toughest test the Bobcats have faced all season as No. 9 Eunice visits No. 8 Bastrop for a second round match-up.
Eunice High’s Shaynia Toussaint hit two free throws with four seconds left to help lift the Lady Bobcats to a 42-41 win over Kaplan in the season opener.
The No. 9 ranked Eunice Bobcats defeated the number 23 ranked Plaquemine with a 35-27 victory.
The Bobcats will take on Bastrop in the second round of the playoffs.
BATON ROUGE –Southern Lab ended the Blue Jays’ season as the Kittens rolled to a 53-7 win over No. 11 St. Edmund at A.W. Mumford Stadium.
It was a special day Wednesday for Grant Fontenot’s family and the Bobcat nation as he signed to play baseball for the McNeese State Cowboys.
The Blue Jays missed their goals of a district championship and a home game to begin the playoffs.
The 2018 Class 3-A state champions Bobcats open the Class 4-A playoffs Friday with the hopes of a return trip to the finals.
