MAMOU – The Eunice High Lady Bobcats continued District 5-3A basketball action here Thursday with a 53-37 victory over the Mamou Lady Green Demons.
In a game dominated by defense, it all came down to free throws as St Edmund earned a 34-31 win over South Cameron.
Trailing 30-29 with less than two minutes remaining, the Lady Jays pushed in five free throws to seal the victory.
IOTA – The Eunice High Lady Bobcats stayed within striking distance of the Iota High School Lady Bulldogs for three quarters, but were unable to catch the Lady Bulldogs, who sealed the win with a 15-10 advantage in the fourth quarter.
The Basile Bearcats grabbed a key district sweep over rival St. Edmund Friday night at the Blue Jay gym.
