The Eunice Bobcats look to start the 2018 season with a road win over the Opelousas High Tigers. “Every body wants to start their season on a high note,” EHS head coach Paul Trosclair said. “Hopefully we will play well.

The Church Point Bears rolled to a 32-7 win over Erath Thursday night in the Acadia – Vermilion Parish jamboree. The Bears grabbed a 6-0 lead with 9:34 left in the first half on a nine-yard run by Gavin Richard.

With a quick score in the opening minutes of Thursday’s first game of the 2018 Acadia-Vermilion Jamboree, the Rayne High Wolves took the lead and held on for a slim 13-12 jamboree win over Kaplan.

Iota, Notre Dame jayvee to compete in Joe Nagata Memorial Jamboree Friday

The sixth annual Joe Nagata Memorial jamboree will have a new twist this season with the addition of the third game to the format. The Nagata jamboree will be held Aug. 24 at St. Edmund’s Blue Jay Field. The Iota Bulldogs will take on the Southside Sharks at 6 p.m. in the opening game.
