St. Ed’s, Warriors grab split

The Lady Jays earned a key District 4-1A win Tuesday as St. Edmund rolled to a 64-25 victory over Hamilton Christian. With the win, No. 15 Lady Jays improve to 10-15 overall and 7-6 in district. St. Edmund closes the regular season Friday night at home against No. 3 Merryville (20-6, 12-0).

Lady Bobcats earn key wins, Bobcats fall twice

The Eunice High School Lady Bobcats improved their overall record to 16-10 overall and district mark to 7-6 with a 38-28 victory over the Pine Prairie Lady Panthers in District 5-3A action at the Eunice High gym.

LSUE to add three sports

LSU Eunice announced it will be adding three more sports to its varsity sports roster. Beginning in the 2018-2019 academic school year, the Bengals will field a men's basketball team as well as men's and women's soccer. The additions bring the total number of varsity athletics to six.

LSUE splits with Crowder

For the fourth double header in a row to open the season, LSU Eunice split games with its oppoments. The top-ranked Lady Bengals exploded for seven runs in the first inning to cruise to a 9-1 win over Crowder Community College in the opener.

Bobcats hold football awards ceremony

The Eunice High football athletic awards program was held Wednesday. After touching on some of the honors and accomplishments of the team, head coach Paul Trosclair presented a plaque to coach John McLemore to honor his years of service to the football program.

The Eunice High Lady Bobcats earned a 58-44 home victory over the Church Point Lady Bears in District 5-3A basketball action.

Eunice splits games with Mamou

MAMOU – The Eunice High Lady Bobcats continued District 5-3A basketball action here Thursday with a 53-37 victory over the Mamou Lady Green Demons. The Lady Bobcats captured a first quarter lead, outscoring Mamou 12-9, thanks to the scoring of Stacie White and Shania Malveaux.
