Vikings down Blue Jays, 35-6

OPELOUSAS – The Vikings proved worthy of their rankings as Opelousas Catholic rolled to a 35-6 win over St. Edmund Thursday in the District 5-1A opener for both teams.

Jays down Bulldogs

The Blue Jays stopped Ville Platte on a two-point conversion in 29 seconds left in the game as St. Edmund earned a 35-33 win over Ville Platte.
The start was delayed for nearly two hours because of lightning in the area.

Bobcats run past Wildcats, 33-7

After a two-hour weather delay, Eunice High cruised to a 33-7 homecoming win over the Abbeville Wildcats.
