Iota’s Lady Dogs use 10-run outburst to pull away from Rayne

The Iota Lady Bulldogs scored runs in six of seven innings Monday, including a 10-run outburst in the final frame, in cruising to their 17th victory of the season, a 19-3 thumping of Rayne in a non-district contest at the Lady Wolves’ home park.

Notre Dame’s Williams earns All-State honors

Lady Bulldogs claim Iota Relays team title

Chloe Smith and Rose Regan combined for 54 of Iota’s 130 points last week to help lead the Lady Bulldogs to the team title in the 2018 Iota Bulldog Relays. Lake Arthur finished a distant second in the team standings with 60 points and Kinder was third with 56.

CHS Ladies win pair in Rapides tourney

Crowley High’s Breana Larry capped off a phenomenal weekend with four hits and five RBI Saturday to help lead the Ladies to a pair of victories in the Rapides Softball Tournament.

Lady Bobcats honor seniors

The afternoon started with the Lady Bobcats honoring three seniors, but it ended with the Lady Demons celebrating as Mamou rolled to a 13-1 win over Eunice.

4-1A All-District team named

Two St. Edmund Blue Jays were named to the 4-1A All-District Boys Basketball Team as selected by the league coaches. Alex Dupre and Henry Brown were named to the Honorable Mention list. Grand Lake (25-7, 13-1)and Hamilton Christian (22-11, 13-1) shared the district championship and top honors.

CHS Ladies outslug Mamou in extra inning victory

The Crowley Ladies banged out 21 hits, including 10 in the final two frames, to rally past Mamou, 11-7, in a contest that went eight innings Wednesday afternoon.

Notre Dame sweeps Lake Arthur

LAKE ARTHUR – The Lake Arthur Tigers simply did not have an answer for Notre Dame hurler John Hoffpauir Wednesday afternoon. Hoffpauir, a senior, scattered seven hits and struck out six in earning a 5-0 shutout over the Tigers.

Bulldogs top Gents; Lady Dogs upend Church Point

CROWLEY – The Iota Bulldogs continued their winning ways on Wednesday with a 14-3 victory over the Crowley Gents in a game that was halted after the sixth inning due to the mercy rule. The Bulldogs (18-3, 6-0) have now won 14 straight games, including the last six by the mercy rule.
