Lady Bengals fall to LSUA

ALEXANDRIA – The LSU Eunice Lady Bengals began 2017 with back-to-back road losses to fall to 4-10 on the season. The Lady Bengals fell 74-54 to LSU Alexandria Thursday night after losing 81-72 to Bossier Parish Community College on Monday.

Bobcats cruise past Wolves

The Eunice High Bobcats took an early lead and never surrendered it as they claimed a 69-48 victory over the Rayne High Wolves in non-district basketball action Tuesday evening at the Bobcat gym. Eunice outscored the Wolves by a 17-6 margin in the first quarter and enjoyed a 35-17 lead at halftime.

OC sweeps Jays

PINE PRAIRIE – The Panthers opened with a 30-16 first quarter run as Pine Prairie cruised to an 89-49 win over St. Edmund Tuesday night. Darnell Durgin pushed in 13 points to help the Panthers (10-4) grab the early advantage.

Bobcats fall in Jennings tourney

JENNINGS – The Eunice High Bobcats lost close decisions to Iowa and Barbe here this past week at the Jennings High School Tournament. The Bobcats jumped to a 15-5 lead over Iowa at the end of the first quarter. Brandon Ndubueze and Avery Lee led the Bobcats with six and five points, respectively.

LSWA CLASS 1A ALL-STATE

Logansport coach Kevin Magee got the storybook ending most coaches only dream of. Magee, who quarterbacked Logansport to a state title in 1995, watched his team erase a 20-6 deficit to beat Haynesville 34-28 in the Class 1A title game.

Blue Jays fall to Hackberry
