Lady Bengals grab first win

The LSU Eunice Lady Bengals picked up their first win of the season with an 80-62 win over Bossier Parish Community College here Saturday. The Lady Bengals used a dominating third period to move out in front of the Cavaliers and improve to 1-3 on the season.  

Mamou sweeps Eunice in opener

MAMOU – In an impressive showing, Mamou earned a sweep over Eunice Monday in the season opener for both teams. The Lady Demons cruised to a 61-20 win over the Lady Bobcats, sparked by a 17-3 run to begin the game.    

Bulldogs earn 22-17 win over St. Louis

IOTA – The Iota Bulldogs earned their second victory of the season with its 22-17 victory over the St. Louis Catholic Saints. With the win Iota improves to 2-7 (1-3 in district 4-3A play). St. Louis, meanwhile fell to 2-7 (0-4).

Team 50/50 shines in meet

Team 50/50 recently participated in the SPF Pride of the Rock Powerlifting Meet in Little Rock, Arkansas. Front row from left, Aisha Lavergne and Adrien Ridout. Teams tied in Bengal Fall World Series

Team Black rolled to an 11-6 win over the Gold Team Thursday to even the LSUE Fall World Series at 1-1. Game 3 is set for 6 p.m. today at Bengal Stadium. Winning pitcher was Connor Bates as he went two innings and allowed one run on two hits with three strikeouts.

Lady Bengals ready to win this season

LSU Eunice head coach Amanda Clemons is hoping the third year is the charm for the Lady Bengals. In her third season at LSUE, Clemons (15-37) has confidence that her young squad will be best Lady Bengal team she has put on the court.

Blue Jays run past Hurricanes

Bobcats crush Red Devils

PORT BARRE – The Eunice High Bobcats scored five touchdowns in the first half on their way to a 35-16 victory over the Port Barre Red Devils in District 5-3A action here Friday night. Coach Paul Trosclair’s Bobcats used both the run and the pass to dominate the Red Devils in the first half.
