The defending softball national champion LSU Eunice Lady Bengal softball team released its2017 schedule this week. “I was looking to get a few more home games but it looks like we are playing 75 percent of our games on the road,” LSUE head coach said.

Lady Bengals fall to LSUA

ALEXANDRIA – The LSU Eunice Lady Bengals began 2017 with back-to-back road losses to fall to 4-10 on the season. The Lady Bengals fell 74-54 to LSU Alexandria Thursday night after losing 81-72 to Bossier Parish Community College on Monday.

Getting ready for the new baseball season

While their classmates may be enjoying the holiday break, the LSU Eunice baseball team has been busy preparing for the upcoming 2017 season. “They all had exit meetings with the coaches at the conclusion of the fall season,” head baseball coach Jeff Willis said.

Bobcats cruise past Wolves

The Eunice High Bobcats took an early lead and never surrendered it as they claimed a 69-48 victory over the Rayne High Wolves in non-district basketball action Tuesday evening at the Bobcat gym. Eunice outscored the Wolves by a 17-6 margin in the first quarter and enjoyed a 35-17 lead at halftime.

OC sweeps Jays

Defense dominated the night as Opelousas Catholic earned a non-district sweep over St. Edmund. The Lady Vikings (4-10) opened with an 8-5 first quarter run as OC earned a 29-19 win over the Lady Jays (3-12). St.

Panthers run past Jays

PINE PRAIRIE – The Panthers opened with a 30-16 first quarter run as Pine Prairie cruised to an 89-49 win over St. Edmund Tuesday night. Darnell Durgin pushed in 13 points to help the Panthers (10-4) grab the early advantage.
